This event is partnered with OSC. Participants can earn bounties by defeating top players and have a chance to compete in the OSC Championship based on their ranking.

Prize pool: min. $50 USD*

1st: 70% (min. $35 USD) + 60 OSC Points (+0.25 OSC Points x Number of Participants)
2nd: 30% (min. $15 USD) + 30 OSC Points (+0.25 OSC Points x Number of Participants)
3rd-4th: 15 OSC Points (+0.25 OSC Points x Number of Participants)
5th-8th: 5 OSC Points
9th-16th: 2.5 OSC Points

Details & Rules

This tournament is open to players of EPT Asia region, that means you have to be a citizen or permanent resident of one of the following: Afghanistan, Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran (Islamic Republic Of), Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Kiribati, Korea (Democratic People's Republic), Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Lebanon, Macao, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Palau, Palestinian Territory (Occupied), Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Qatar, Samoa, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Syrian Arab Republic, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen. Eligibility of players holding visas will be decided on a case by case basis.

If you are playing your match on a different server, tell the admin first. Otherwise walkover rules may be applied.
Players have 15 minutes to begin their match once it becomes available. If a player does not respond within 15 minutes, their opponent will be awarded a walkover. The bracket is finalized when it is announced in the in-game chat channel.
Only admins and approved casters can be added to the game as observers. No other observers allowed.
Players can switch races between series. They have to announce the race they choose to the opponent before conducting the veto process and have to commit to that race for the whole Best of X match. Choosing Random as a race is allowed.
Please send your replays to our email address (cranklings @ gmail . com) with tag [GPO] in the title. The replay pack will be sent to CranKy Ducklings' Twitch subscribers and Patreon supporters.
If a player disconnects, the game will be continued using the "Resume from replay" option in the game. If the disconnecting player does not return after 15 minutes, they may forfeit the match. Players seen watching replays while waiting for another player to return will forfeit that match.
If you decide to forfeit a series, please contact an admin. Forfeiting without a valid reason will result in a warning. 3 warnings will result in a 6 month ban from competing in CranKy Ducklings events.
In case of a walkover, the missing player may be replaced by the previous series' loser, granted they are available and willing to play. Round 1 no-shows may be replaced by a player who was not checked in/registered for the tournament.
Players found sharing Battle.net or Challonge accounts will be issued a warning and the accounts in question will be barred from competing. Repeat offenders will be banned from all CranKy Ducklings events.
Players who earned prizes in the event have to register on the Matcherino page within 3 weeks from the conclusion of the tournament. If they fail to do so, the prize money will be forfeit and will be distributed amongst the remaining players.
Please be respectful to other players and the admins.
Any issues not mentioned here are to be solved by the admins. The rules for future events will be updated accordingly.

Format

Players will be seeded based on their performance in Grand Platypus Open in 2023 season, ties will be solved by Aligulac rating,
Single Elimination by default. If 8 or less players check in, the format changes to Double Elimination. The finalist from Winners Bracket gets a 1 point advantage in the Grand Finals,
All matches are Bo3 (Double Elimination: Losers' Bracket Bo1, Losers' Finals Bo3),
Finals are Bo5 (the format of the Finals can be changed from Bo5 to Bo3 if both players and the admins agree before the series begins).
